Hello people who read my ramblings,

Real life has seriously been kicking my butt, very slowly things are starting to look up. Its made life hard in many ways I've been feeling down so my creativity has suffered.

But, and its a good but. I think I'm back. :D I've sent back first edits on Red on the moon. Thanks to which I now hate the word was, I used it nearly 300 times lol, but now I know that I do it I will watch out for it and try not to use it so much. I'm still utterly in love with the cover that's been done for it.

I'm going to spend the next two days attempting to write 25k to finish NaNo, I think I can do it because I've done a lot by hand so its a matter of typing it up.

Now onto fun stuff.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving for all my American friends, I hope you've had a fantastic day, and I hope you recover from food overload in time to do it all again for Christmas.

The whole thing got me thinking about holidays, and how thanks to the internet, rather than holidays just being restricted to the country they are predominantly celebrated in, the whole world is getting in on them too.
As far as I'm concerned I think its wonderful, just think about it, at this rate there won't be a month that goes by that we won't have a holiday to celebrate. One huge party every month with families getting together having a meal spending time together. Something that many families don't do.

Just think, when Christmas comes around I eat less leading up to it so I don't put on too much weight, so we wouldn't eat too much all the time. We'd be guaranteed to see family at least once a month, which is great because some families only get together for big holidays. Plus, how happy are people around holidays? (apart from stress of cooking cleaning and stuff breaking, but if your doing it regularly it won't be as stressful anymore and the cleaning wouldn't take as long)

So share your holidays, involve people from far away, when March comes round I'll tell everyone Happy St David's day :D until then Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I've been writing lots in the last nine days, working on several different stories at the same time.
I know it's not the way most people work but it works for me :D But then I've never professed to be normal, well other peoples version of normal anyway, I'm exactly normal for a Rhiannon Wellman, we are a rare bread of one that is supposed to be slightly off the wall, lol.

I'm taking a break from writing to talk to you all.

i'm crazy and i know it...

I think I may have over committed myself....

Not only have I signed my self up for NaNo. (for those who don't know it's where mad people try and write 50 thousand words in 30 days) which means I have to average about 1667 words a day.

That in it's self isn't too bad. I have five story ideas which I'm going to work on for the event, if I can finish them all I think I'll end up with around 60 or 70 thousand or there abouts.

Now hear comes the bit where I just might be certifiably mad. I've been talked into writing for three anthologies, one I've already submitted to, the Serviced Anthology M/M, but now I'm going to write another story for that one. Two story's for Serviced M/F and a story under 2000 words that has to be a dark valentines story.

So now you see where I might be more than a little bit mad.

I started yesterday, I even started an event on my facebook page for people to yell at me to keep me going :D I've done 810 words so far. I hope to goodness that I can do it.

I'll let you know how things go with all that.

In the mean time, I've sent off the information for the art work for Red on the Moon, my werewolf book I seriously can't wait to see what they come up with as soon as I'm able I'll show you.

I'm sorry to cut this short but I have two job interviews today. Wish me luck :D

Welcome one and all to my first blog entry of October.

Well… God I have to stop starting my blog entry's with well…

Um, well I've started now so, I'll change it next time.

Since my last post I've been working extremely hard, don't let anyone ever tell you that it's easy being a writer because it's not. I, like many other writers have other jobs. My job is full time meaning I work anything from 60 – 80 hours in a week plus I have hubby and monster at home who are my world. Thank heavens for insomnia or I'd never get any writing done lol.

But I have been spending time promoting my books, I've even set up and had authenticated a goodreads account (feel free to drop me a line there or a review.)

I've even done two guest spots on other people's blogs. But I have neglected to put anything on my own blog about my book. What can I say I'm useless lol.

Well here we go.

My very first stand alone book, is called Capitan Jack's Rose.

Captain Jack Edwards never believed in destiny, but being in the right place at the time when Rose needed him most, had to be more than luck.

 

Rose, the image of every school teacher a teenage boy got crushes on, kept her hair in a tight bun that made Jack long to shake it loose. And her students loved her.

 

Jack couldn't be any more different. As Captain in the British Army, he was rougher around the edges that he'd like to admit. Together they worked, but can he convince Rose that he's all an officer and a gentleman should be?

 

While showing the children and Rose the delights of the town, Jack tries to woo her. However, when he can't make promises most women want to hear, will he go back to England and re-enlist? Or will she give him a reason to stay?

It came out a few weeks ago and has been doing quite well, I don't seem to be getting any reviews yet but I'm hoping soon I'll get some, (I'm not hinting, well not a lot anyway, who the hell am I kidding, I'm asking)

What do you think of the cover? I adore it I was thrilled when they sent it to me to proof.

I would love to host Q&A so I'm going to do it here, ask me a question in your comments and I'll answer them all. As soon as I get them.

My other bit of awesome news is I signed a contract yesterday for my next book, it's called 'Red on the Moon'. It's a werewolf themed story, Lucas is the main character, he's a detective, and a cop. Hunting a killer who believes himself to be what Lucas is in reality, throw in a new partner, a soul mark about to change and the an interfering family, and you have a whole lot of fun, and plenty of sexy times. :D

I really can't wait to see what they make for the covert for this book.

I had best go, my editor is on my back about getting the edits of my next project going (yes I truly am that busy and insane) so I'd better get back to work.

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my first blog in AGES. First with an apology, I'm sorry it's taken so long to post a new blog entry. My life has gotten crazy in the last few months, I have a new job, I started in April and I utterly love it, but it's meant less time for me to write. But in better news, I have submitted a new book for Breathless Press as part of an anthology "Serviced" I hope to hear about it soon then I'll tell you all about it.

My first book came out which you know about in the Ad dick tion anthology, it was called Animal Magnetism and had done really well it's got some really lovely reviews on goodreads, one of my favourites was;

            My favorite story is Animal Magnetism by Rhiannon Wellman. It involves a jealous ex, two men who have been hurt in the past, and one of the most unusual set of guard/playmates that I've ever seen.

But also since my last update Capitan Jack's Rose has come out too, which is just me on my own :D. It seems to be doing well, I just found out its 11^th in Breathless Press reads, which is utterly awesome. But I haven't had time to promote it as much as I should be doing, that however will be changing in the next few days.

I don't know what part of the world you're all from. (Feel free to tell me in comments, it would be cool to know where abouts in the world you all, not your address tho okay ;) a city would work or country if you'd rather) Here in the UK we've had a heat wave and even though that has passed it is still unnaturally warm for summer (it's not raining and in the UK that’s almost unnatural in the summer lol) I, as a rule love the heat and really hate thunder storms, but I find myself hoping for one. I think a really good storm will clear the air and let things be a bit more comfortable. And when that happens you will find me under the bed covers rocking back and for until it's over.

I will be posting again here on a weekly basses with updates on what I'm doing and random things that amuse me. But is there anything you would like me to add? I'm still new to this whole blogging thing so I'm still unsure of myself a bit.

Blog Post for Rhiannon – 6/3

Whew, it was a long trip but I made it. I glanced around as I set down a plate of homemade cinnamon rolls. This would be the first time I’ve ever made it over to a UK blog, not that I’m complaining. Nope, I love new things and having Ms. Rhiannon welcome me to her new blog is just awesome. But before I go any further, I better take this moment to introduce myself, before my muse Livvy shows up, because once she does, numerous things tend to a go awry.   So I’m Dakota Trace and I write erotic romance.  Not just any kind of E.R. either. I like mine…shall we say ‘kinky’?  I write everything from BDSM to paranormal to m/m and all the variants in between.  I just love to explore my boundaries – not that I have that many.   So today I’m bringing to you my newest release, Essential Master.  And yeah from the title you can probably tell that it’s a BDSM book but it’s actually also a m/m/f book – so hopefully it will be up some of your alleys. 

“In fact…” Looking around. “I’ve sweet talked Ethan, one of my Doms from the series to come over and talk about the role he played in getting Zebadiah, Nicholaus and Stephanie together…”

Rustling behind me, along with a loud gong announced the arrival of my muse. “Yo, slave, I’m here! I even picked up something large and sexy for you along the way.”

“And that would be my muse, Livvy.”  Glancing over my shoulder I could see she was dressed as usual, from the top off her dark curly hair to her toes in leather. Although I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lime green corset before. I didn’t have time to wonder where she picked that up, because instead of my slim, oriental Master, Ethan, she had his partner and co-owner of New Beginnings, Davis with her.  For once however he wasn’t dressed in one of his power suits, nope this time he was wearing a flannel shirt, which I knew hide a totally awesome six pack, and faded denim jeans that lovingly cupped his thick thighs and accented his package.  It was all I could do not to drool over this dark haired hunk of a man.

“Davis…what are you doing here?  I thought Ethan was coming – at least he assured me of that last night when I spoke with him.”  I had a sinking feeling in my stomach.  After yesterday’s stop, I’d hoped that one of the mated Doms would be able to keep my muse in line. Davis might be tall as a California Redwood and just as hard but Livvy could keep his story, Reluctant Master, hostage.

“Well, Livvy called this morning and told us you got your schedule messed up and I was supposed to be attending Rhiannon’s blog with you today instead of going to the Tavern on Wednesday.  I’ll have you know I had to rearrange some client meetings but I managed…”

My temperature rose and I tapped my foot. Not only had Livvy screwed with my schedule but she’d also interrupted Davis’s busy attorney schedule.  “I did not confuse anything.” I pulled my clipboard out of my bag. “See right here it says that Ethan is supposed to be with me today.” 

Davis took it from me, scanning it before turning to glare at Livvy. “Muse, you have some explaining to do.”

Livvy, of course, just giggled as he stomped towards her. “Now, now. If you want to end up with Lauren, you’ll play nice!”

“Play nice? The rate you’re going, Muse, I’ll be lucky to get my story before Christmas – next year.  You’ve already rearranged Dakota’s time line twice in the last six months. I was supposed to be book two, then you stuck your fingers in the mess, and I got moved to book three, and this morning I checked Dakota’s site and I’m now book four with a coming in 2014 label.” 

My jaw dropped as he physically tossed her over his shoulder. Spinning around, he glared at me. “You don’t need her for this stop do you?”

I wisely held my tongue and shook my head.

“Good. Tell the nice people about the prize giveaway and crap. Hell even throw in a sexy m/m excerpt if you want, while me and your muse have a little chat about my story.”  

Then he disappeared with my muse. Okay that didn’t go as I had planned. “Okay, I guess I’ll just get into the details here.  Below is the blurb for Essential Master and short excerpt.  At the end of the excerpt is a question. Zebadiah stretched and covered his mouth with a yawn before slipping out from under the rumpled sheets. He glanced down at his still sleeping Ma'am. The bags under her eyes told of their long night of indulgence. He hated to wake her. She'd been through the ringer yesterday. She needed time to recuperate, not only from the stress of her testimony, but also from the demands both he and Sir had made on her. Especially if her body felt anything like his. He was pleasantly sore but nothing he couldn't handle. The hazy but pleasurable memories of the night before teased at his brain, but first he needed to heed the call of nature.

With his eyes barely open, he made his way towards the bathroom connected to Sir's and Ma'am's bedroom. He was in the open doorway before his brain registered the fact the shower was running. Rubbing his eyes, he groaned as he took in Sir's form while he rubbed a loofah across his wide chest. Unbelievably, his dick stirred and every need he had to piss deserted him.

As if drawn by an unseen force, he crossed the room, the cool tile against the soles of his feet barely registering. Stopping just outside of the shower stall, he debated for a moment whether or not to enter. As much as he wanted to join Nicky, he wasn't sure if entering the shower was such a good idea. Week 2 I'm back.....

Hello and welcome to week two, for the madness that is my life.

 

Do you remember the list from last week? Well I managed to finish the first one on the list… but it may have grown by four new stories and I got back first round edits for one I've already had accepted. *looks around for a place to hide*

I haven't had a lot of time to write this week because of lots of things going on in my life atm, a new job being one of them, lucky for me I love it and am enjoying all of it, but it does mean I'm getting tired faster and have less time to lessen my ever growing list.

 

Oh well I never pretended to be sane, thankfully my editor if fully aware of my madness and doesn't seem to mind at all. (I worry for her sanity too)

 

This week has been a lot of fun, apart from a few rl work emergencies. I've had a lot of time to think out what I'm going to do for quite a few of my wip's which I'm happy about, now I just have to get them from my brain to paper, then go back over them and translate them for normal human's to be able to understand J

I would like to ask you all a favour, tell me the kind of things you'd like to see here, apart from my mad woman rambling, are there any questions you'd like to ask me? post them and I'll see what I can do.

 

I do have some news for you. Tomorrow morning I'm going to post an extra blog entry, from a surprise mystery guest. No I won't tell you who they are because then it will neither be a surprise or a mystery :D

The Very First Post

Well hello everyone. :D

This is my very very first blog post. I want to write something epic, something memorable, I want you to log on to this page and think, 'Wow, I'm coming back here again...

But what your going to get, is me pretending your actually here for me to talk to and saying what ever pop's into my head.

Let me tell you a little bit about my self.

I'm 30 years old, for another few weeks anyway. I'm married and I have a son. (hubby and monster from now on)

I've been making up stories as long as I can remember, they were mostly about princess' saving their hansom prince and living happily ever after with lots of chocolate then though.

I started writing properly about three years ago when I discovered fan-fiction and got hooked. I started writing my own fan-fictions stories after having a book rejected by Mills and Boon (don't let it be said that I don't aim for the star's) 

I'm badly dyslexic so spelling and grammar is hard for me, when I spell things wrong if it weren't for the lovely red I'd often not know they weren't spelled right.

But eventually I got enough confidence in my self to send a story to Breathless Press to be considered for part of their Ad-dick-tion anthology. On the 31st of December they sent me a contract :D
I'm not going to lie to you, there was much celebrations that night :D

I've been given a release date in June for my first publication and my second one already accepted and another two sent in.

I'm kind of a prolific writer I will write anything that pop's into my head, weather that be m/f, m/m or added extras :D
